About Us

Welcome to RTC Rescue.  The name has special meaning, named after my first foster loss, Trooper. ‘Real Trooper’ is also known as someone who will fight for what they believe in and doesn’t give up easily.

We are a registered not-for-profit corporation trying to make a difference to help the stray cat population.  We do not receive any funding and rely solely on donations and money raised at fundraising events. We are unable to provide a tax receipt as we are not a registered charity at this moment. As a registered not-for-profit, any donation received goes directly into a business account to pay for expenses incurred by our rescues such as vetting, food, medications, litter etc.  Donations are greatly appreciated and can be made by e-transfer to rtcrescue104@gmail.com  

We are a small foster based rescue limited to intake on foster availability.  Our aim is to help homeless cats/kittens that are living in communities or rural areas.  We can offer assistance with TNR to try and reduce the ongoing cycle. We pride ourselves on our process of intake,  socializing and getting to know each individual kitty in order to ultimately place him/her in the best suited home for both him/her and their forever families.  

We are here well after the adoption process to offer support and advice to make certain both feline and human are set for success.  We are all volunteers with full time jobs and do the best we can to respond promptly to inquiries.  Please be patient if our response is delayed.
